Cassandra Owner/Performer
Co-owner of Out of The Rain.
Cassandra is a teacher, former Scout leader, trained actor, and costume creator. She began performing as, and creating princess parties in 2013. It is her mission to provide truly unique and engaging events. Cassandra teaches music and art, and she strives to instill virtues in others by setting a positive example. As former Miss Teen Maple Ridge-World and Miss BC Congeniality, she was destined to be a princess and couldn't be more thrilled to be a part of Out of the Rain. Her charity of choice is the BC Cancer Foundation.
Shelbi Performer/Receptionist
Originally from the United States, Shelbi Brown is a true renaissance woman whose passions have taken her all over the world. An avid hiker and outdoors enthusiast, Shelbi particularly loves rafting and exploring the mountains. You can always find her embarking on an adventure outside with her fiancé. Shelbi began with Out of the Rain as an actor but quickly got even more involved answering all the emails. She is also working as a veterinary assistant, driven by her love for helping animals. Shelbi’s deep passion for children, which she nurtured while nannying in Australia, Canada, and Ireland has been a great asset to our team. Shelbi handles most of our emails and communication, efficiently booking parties and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Shelbi's kind heart and dedication made her stand out to Kirsten and Cass, securing her a vital role in our team. We are so happy to announce: Just last year, Shelbi officially made Canada her home and became a Canadian Resident, working towards citizenship! Her adventurous spirit, and versatile skills make her an invaluable member of our team.
Zephyr He/They Performer/Wig Stylist
Zephyr loves to make people smile. They're currently studying at Blanche Macdonald for hair styling and working behind the scenes at Out of the Rain for Wig Styling along with being a Charecter Performer! They found their love for performing when they were young and once they were in high school, they found the Drama Department and Improv Club, and joined the ranks. Along with being quite the charecter, Zephyr loves to express their creativity through make up and painting. Zephyr is a proud member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and continues to support their community and people around them. Their absolute favorite animated film is How to Train Your Dragon. They believe their true purpose on this earth is to make people happy and to smile.
Emma F. Performer
A professional mermaid and actress, Emma is a talented individual. She has studied at Vancovuer Film School and is always endeavoring on new, creative projects. She has her own youtube channel and is often working on set. She truly understands what it takes to be behind and in front of the camera. She also cares for an array of animals, including bearded dragons, guinea pigs, fish, cats, and more!
Nicole Performer
Nicole is the definition of a Disney adult and has always been a Disney princess at heart. Being able to bring that magic into the lives of others and sing as a princess is an absolute dream come true for her. She's always felt at home when surrounded by a group of kids, and during the week you'll find her putting teaching degree to use delivering and managing student programs at Science World.
Kiefer Performer
Kiefer Seeley is passionate about bringing characters to life while staying true to his faith. After graduating from post-secondary where he studied acting, Kiefer worked with various kids ministries, where he has gained experience in performing and entertaining children. Originally from Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, Kiefer is known for his friendly demeanor and high energy. He has performed in several musicals and is not afraid to take on challenging roles. Kiefer is versatile and can play a superhero, knight, or mascot character with ease. When he steps onto the stage, he brings his characters to life and engages the audience in a way that captivates them. Kiefer Seeley always brings professionalism, enthusiasm, and excitement to every performance.
Faith Performer
Faith discovered a passion for musical theatre in middle school and hasn’t stopped performing since. Her most recent productions include Shrek the Musical and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. She’s an aspiring social worker currently studying at UBC. Outside of work you can find her singing in choirs, playing piano, and hanging out with her two pet budgies.
Ray Performer
Ray is an actor, model, and performer in Vancouver who has a diverse range of experiences in the creative arts. His career started as a regular cast member for the PNE’s popular Haunted Mansion series. This experience has opened doors for him in special events and mascot work, circus performance and professional modelling. Ray also has also learned some unique skills such as stilt walking and fire performance. Entertaining and performance is a driving force for Ray who loves to bring fun to his audience.
Sophie Performer
Sophie has always loved telling stories through music and there’s no better outlet to do so than musical theatre, which of course includes all things Disney! She has performed in musical productions around the lower mainland since middle school and is currently pursuing musical theatre in post-secondary school at Capilano University. Sophie has grown up watching and adoring Disney princesses, such as Rapunzel (her favourite), and now she gets the opportunity to bring those magical characters to life!
Kieran Performer
Kieran is a professional actor and singer from Edmonton, Alberta. He has been an avid superhero fan his whole life and loves to share his excitement and passion for his favourite characters. An aspiring film maker Kieran hopes to bring some of his big ideas to the silver screen one day.
Mariko Performer
Mariko Zamani has enjoyed singing and performing since she was little. She has always loved classic fairy tales, and admired the kind and honest nature of the princesses and heroes. She lives by the motto that smiles are free, and always aims to serve others with unexpected magical moments and experiences, with hopes of making their day just a little bit brighter! Mariko works full-time with a renowned National Youth organization, and also teaches improv. acting to Elementary School students weekly with a Youth Theatre Group. She is a working Actor in the industry, and a former Graduate of the Douglas College Theatre Program, where she was the recipient of the Dorothy Jones Scholarship recognizing her strengths in performing as part of an ensemble cast. She can't wait to bring your child's favorite characters to life, with some sparkle and a little bit of extra magic Pixie dust for their upcoming special celebration!

Kirsten Owner/Performer
Co-owner of Out of the Rain Character Events, Kirsten's journey unfolded with a late diagnosis of Autism and ADHD in July 2023, sparking a profound journey of self-discovery. From her earliest years, Kirsten found comfort in the enchanting world of princesses and timeless musicals like 'Carousel' and 'State Fair,' fostering a deep passion for music, writing, singing, and performing. Her achievements include representing Canada at the 'Karaoke World Championships' in Russia and writing and recording a country song that played across stations internationally. A staunch advocate for mental health, neurodiversity, and inclusivity, Kirsten envisions Out of the Rain as the foremost character company in BC—a sanctuary celebrating diverse talents. With an unwavering dedication to crafting inclusive and magical experiences, Kirsten and Out of the Rain Character Events aspire to break barriers and touch hearts. Her ultimate mission remains crystal clear: to ensure every child sees themselves reflected in their favorite character. Above all, Kirsten's resounding message echoes through her work—that possessing a kind heart stands as life's greatest treasure.
Jaira Performer/Social Media Manager
​Jaira was raised on Disney movies and believing in magic. She is now a trained actor for the stage and the screen, with a decade of children’s entertainment experience. A passionate content creator, Jaira also runs our social media pages, making sure as many people see our characters in action as possible. Her favourite things to do are sing, play dress-up, improvise, and make kids smile, so she couldn’t be more thrilled to bring her favourite characters to life!
Troy Photographer
Troy is a full-time Dojo master and part-time photographer with the team. He facilitates the teaching of all our superhero performers and provides excellent and expedient photography for many of our events and parties. He is also the husband of our amazing co-owner, Kirsten.
Liam Performer
Liam specializes in pirate and spider hero impressions. He is a well-versed improv actor. You can see him most often as the Spider Hero, the American Hero, or the Ice Harvester.
Rebecca Performer
​Rebecca is passionate about music and loves to create. She is vocally trained and has done musical theatre all throughout the metro Vancouver area. She love to act and hopes to pursue a career in the arts.
Shantei Performer
Shantei is an incredibly passionate individual who loves working with children. Her favourite part of the job is getting to see the look on kids faces as they realize their favourite character has come to life. She’s been in a variety of musical theatre productions since middle school, her most recent role being Anne in a production of Anne of Green Gables and Donkey in Shrek the Musical. Outside of school and work, Shantei is an avid reader and enjoys spending her free time with friends!
Mckenna Performer
Mckenna is a Vancouver Film School grad and is gifted with natural vibrato. She loves all things Disney and spending her time with her favourite characters.
Brittany Performer
Brittany has been performing and dancing since the age of 2 years old. Being raised on Disney VHS tapes and always having had a sparkle in her step, finding a home as a princess and superhero with Out of the Rain Events has become an absolute dream come true. She performed as a dancer and actor travelling to 50 countries worldwide with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines in her early career. She now finds her joy in working with children and babies as a dance teacher, birth doula and nanny.
Ash Performer
Ash has been singing, specifically Disney songs, since she was born, and when she joined the team here she felt like she finally found a job she was passionate about and good at. She has been a trained vocalist and actress since the age of six and she LOVES working with kids. Ash hopes to pursue a career in musical theatre. When she was 3 she was obsessed with Cinderella, and when she came to her birthday party that day a part of her always knew she would end up bringing that same magic to kids in the future!
Kate Performer
Kate is an incredible up and coming talent. She is trained in voice, stage, and ballet. She has been Daniella (In the Heights), Dorothy (Wizard of Oz), as well as several short film roles. Kate is a truly passionate actor with a kind heart. Sleeping Beauty is one of her favourite princesses.
James Performer
James is a vocalist and accent specialist. He is a well-versed improv actor. You can see him most often as the Spider Hero, Pirate Harry, or the Dark Hero.
